I loved your mom! She was a strong, creative soul and she was very accepting of my silly teenage self! She taught me to love nature and the Arnold area where we still have a cabin. I think if her every time I pass their road! Great Mother’s Day post!

Well, you two knew each other for a number of years. One thing we still have in common, Wendy, we were both blessed with pretty special moms.

I was someone's child until I was 71. My Mom passed at 100 in 2017. Being an "orphan" these past years is a process of adjustments---- greatest being the degree to which I underestimated my need for her presence. Little did I know how much comfort can be found in being a child well into my old age. Thank you for your thoughts on this Mother's Day.

How fortunate for you both. It is that knowledge of the comfort of a mom's presence that permits us to comfort others when they most need it. (and letting them overcome when suffering is a learning moment.)
